12 graphic artists illustrate a calendar in favor of people with breast cancer and their families
Fundación Carrera por la Vida – Walk for Life is a solidarity initiative, which works to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and serve as an instrument to meet the needs and demands of affected people and their families.
This solidarity action, led by Brigitte Gypen, has completed 15 years in its commitment to raise awareness and raise funds that go to associations, services, care and research initiatives to improve the quality of life of the people affected and allow their recovery both physical and psychological in the shortest possible time. Actions that are developed each year are the development of a solidarity calendar that shows the multiple faces of the career in overcoming and success in the face of the disease.
For the 2020 edition, twelve artists, one for each month, have put their particular gaze and creativity on a calendar that carries a message that unites art and hope. Illustrators, painters, graphic designers, twelve works in which their authors and authors have expressed a word, a message, a requirement that results in the improvement of the quality of life of people with breast cancer.
The abstraction of Cecilia Bofarull, Ibele Lybaert, Salomé Ocón and Pilar Brito, have joined with the faces of Carla Fernández, Ana Coloretes, Eva Lilith and the graphic works of Iván Retamas, Claudia Vives, Óscar Lorenzo, Lauro Samblas and Violeta Cabeza. Twelve solidarity works and twelve artists committed to a disease that mostly affects women but can also occur in men.
The calendar, which has a symbolic price of 6 euros and can be purchased through the website of Farmacia Canarias Online, in Solidarity Products (direct link here) This calendar has been possible thanks to the sponsorship of companies such as El Corte Inglés, Fundación Diario de Avisos, Tenerife Perla, Grupo Valora, Con Lines and has been produced by Ángel Pérez de Igualmente produce.
The proceeds will go entirely to the actions and projects promoted and supported by Carrera por la Vida – Walk for life.
