The goal of the Walk For Life Foundation
From the beginning, the goal of the Walk for Life Foundation was to spread awareness about the vital importance of early detection in breast cancer, and meet the needs of those affected by breast cancer as well as their families.
The charity started nearly 15 years ago, with its commitment to raising awareness, and funds. What began as a “one off” charity walk in Santa Cruz, has, over the years, become one of the biggest charity events on the Island with nearly 5,000 people taking part in the last Walk for Life.
Funds are allocated to meet cancer associations’ demands, to services such as the cancer bus Km Solidario, the “BRA” Project, the Goodbag Project, Pink Room support and of course investigation. Donations also help to improve the quality of life of those affected by cancer and are used to ensure the best physical & psychological recuperation possible.
In 2019 we celebrate our first 15 years of Walking for Life, and this would not have been possible without YOU. In a unique event, the 2020 Calendar “ART FOR LIFE” was presented to attendees and press, in an event that has brought together graphic artists who have created works that convey a word, a message, an idea or a requirement for the Improvement of life, of people with breast cancer. This calendar has 12 solidarity works and the texts by Ángel Pérez de IGUALMENTE PRODUCE, who have directed the project, and which have been translated by Cliodna O’Flynn.

Thanks to the creative minds that have delivered their “ARTE POR LA VIDA”. Each of the pages of this calendar is full of art that gives energy, reasons to follow, art that gives support and support, that demands more research and believes in early detection and self-exploration.

The calendar of the Carrera por la Vida | Walk For life Foundation has a solidarity value of 6 euros, which will go entirely to the projects and actions it finances and with which the Foundation collaborates in favour of people with breast cancer and Your quality of life.
