Rafa Lesmes and CUP 59 in Dakar 2024, represent the fight against breast cancer, supporting MENTE ROSA and ARDERNE to raise awareness
Rafa Lesmes and his CUP 59 team start preparations to participate in the toughest and most adventurous motor race in the world – the Dakar 2024, this time with a huge pink truck. After the 2023 edition, the DAKAR POR LA VIDA 2024 is once again a symbol of commitment and social responsibility, dedicated to making visible, raising awareness, and raising funds and support for the MENTE ROSA and ARDERNE projects.
For the Walk for Life Foundation, mental health is essential, which is why it is launching the MENTE ROSA project, a psychological care service for people affected by breast cancer through individualized care, family therapy, and coordination of support groups for affected people.
For its part, the Association of Patients with Male Breast Cancer (INVI) joins forces and efforts to make the public aware of these patients and raise awareness among men who may also suffer from breast cancer. INVI seeks funding for the Oncology Research Project on male breast cancer promoted by GEICAM and which represents the first registry in Spain and the ARDERNE project that will allow analysis of the situation and a study of the characteristics of this population, improving diagnosis and treatment.
The Dakar for Life 2024 project, which has the support of the European network against breast cancer THINK PINK EUROPE, is preparing to start in January 2024 and once again be an example of commitment and awareness of breast cancer in women and men. Dakar 2024: the journey itself is the goal.
