Nordic Walking Workshop: Join Walk for Life & ALLÉ Sports Club to improve lives of breast cancer patients
The Walk for Life Foundation has signed a collaboration agreement with the ALLÉ Sports Club to launch a Nordic walking workshop.
This sports discipline that originated in Finland, helps to improve resistance and strength, increases flexibility, coordination and balance, with beneficial repercussions at the bone, muscle and cardiovascular levels.
With the aim of improving the lives of people with breast cancer, Walk for Life is committed to promoting Nordic walking for its indication in the prevention and treatment of lymphedema as it favors the mobility of the arm and shoulder affected by surgery of the breast, activates a large part of the body muscles and improves cardiovascular and postural health.
For the correct learning of this technique, which consists of walking with the help of two canes that distribute the force used in each step, the ALLÉ Sports Club has established a program that starts with an initiation talk in which the theoretical foundations will be given. of Nordic walking and three practical workshops in which attendees will be able to practice it under the supervision of Club staff.
The Walk for Life Foundation appreciates the altruistic collaboration of Club Deportivo ALLÉ and its commitment to improving the lives of people affected by breast cancer and their families.
