A Space of Life and Solidarity for Those Affected by Breast Cancer
We Inaugurate the New Pink Room!
We have inaugurated the new Pink Room of the Foundation Walk for Life. During the opening ceremony, our president, Brigitte Gypen, extended special thanks to the mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, and the Councilor for Health, Esther Rivero, who made this opening possible. This space serves as a meeting, support, and assistance center for people and families affected by breast cancer.
A More Functional Space
This new space is significantly larger and accommodates the exponential growth of our Foundation’s activities in recent years. The new headquarters features an open area ideal for physical activities like yoga, pilates, or for workshops and lectures.
In addition to an office for administrative matters and storage, the new headquarters includes a room dedicated to the BRA project allowing users to try on free therapeutic bras with privacy and comfort.
A Space of Life and Solidarity
Adeje’s mayor, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, highlighted the importance of the new Pink Room for the municipality and the southern region. “This is a space of solidarity, pluralism, and dynamism, and its opening is a step forward. The new Pink Room smells of life and is filled with hope,” commented the mayor. President Brigitte Gypen acknowledged the institutional and especially personal involvement of the Health Councilor, Esther Rivero, “who made the construction possible in record time, thanks also to the good work of the Services Area.”
The event was also attended by the Social Action Counselor of the Tenerife Council, Águeda Fumero, and Tania Cuadrado, Social Services Councilor of the Santiago del Teide City Council, as well as companies and entities collaborating with the Foundation.
During the event, all the Foundation’s volunteers were honored. Their tireless work made the move from the previous headquarters and the organization and decoration of the new space possible.
The new location of the Pink Room is: Residencial de las Torres, Calle Abinque 26, Portal E, CP 38670 Adeje, Tenerife.
