Through the Goodbag Project, Walk for Life Foundation provides people undergone breast cancer surgery with free bags to transport drainage safely and comfortably.
Breast cancer patients who have experienced a mastectomy or the removal of underarm lymph nodes are fitted with a drain that collects the fluid generated in the surgical area in order to reduce complications during the post-operative recovery. The patient must wear these drains to collect the liquid for a variable period depending on each case.
The bags or Goodbags that Walk for Life Foundation provides at no cost, are made of assorted and attractive fabric designs that reduce the impact of carrying drains for the patient. They also have handles that facilitate transport and prevent the drainage from suffering and causing any damage.
