Over 7,000 participants raise more than 100,000 euros for breast cancer research
Brigitte Gypen, originally from Balen, Belgium, has achieved remarkable success with her breast cancer march in Tenerife. This year’s event attracted over 7,000 participants and raised more than 100,000 euros for cancer research.
Since 2005, Gypen has organized the ‘Race for the Cure’ (Carrera por la Vida) to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer. The first edition brought together 500 people, and its continued growth led Think Pink Europe to choose her initiative to represent Spain.
This annual event not only collects essential funds for breast cancer research but also raises awareness about the disease, engaging thousands of people in the fight against cancer.
The Tenerife march has become one of Spain’s leading initiatives dedicated to this cause, reflecting Gypen’s personal commitment and the community’s support in combating breast cancer.
