First Pink Volunteering Plan: Enhancing Civic Participation
To improve the activity, detect weaknesses, and provide tools for volunteering, the First “Pink Volunteer” Plan has been developed, subsidized by the Area of Social Action, Inclusion, Volunteering and Citizen Participation of the Island Council of Tenerife, through the subsidies for the Promotion of Citizen Participation, Diversity and Associationism 2023 (line 4, Promotion of Volunteer Projects).
This Plan has been executed by Factoría Social, who brought together in participatory work, the vision and contribution of the volunteers, institutions, and collaborating companies. The result of this analysis and joint work is a document with the values, obligations, and rights that volunteering must-have for its correct functioning.
The Plan has been presented by Adal García Pueyo, CEO of SINPROMI of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Brigitte Gypen, President of the Walk for Life Foundation, and Begoña León Llanos, Coordinator of Factoria Social. At the event, which had the collaboration of the Hotel Marylanza Suites & Spa, the president of our Foundation, thanked the Social Action Area of the Cabildo de Tenerife and Factoría Social for promoting the drafting of the Plan and considers “that this document has made us aware of the achievements and improvements, but above all of the human quality of our volunteers, which is essential for our Foundation.”
